Guest Michael MRK Posted February 9, 2007 Hi I have a 1.9 8v GTi Engine Swapped in a 1993 205 GL, anyway, its running really good, and running really smooth, but from the day I swapped that engine, it misfire at the max rpm, it don't just cuts as any normal engine, it cuts with a misfiring which leads to as u know, flames and stuff, i dunno why is that, but the thing that it really runs so fine, i got 195 km/h with it one day, but still at 5th gear @ 5900, it don't wonna reach anymore, or even in higher gear as 3rd or 4th, i can reach the peak rpm, can't even reach the 6200, like the car got no more power to push till the peak rpm.. so anyone know anything about that problem ?? thanks.. Guest Michael MRK Posted February 10, 2007 okie, I checked everything today, I found what causin' this is the Fuel Pump, it don't supply that much fuel with the needed pressure, so it just cuts sometime, anyone know a replacement for the GTi Fuel Pump ??, cos it really rare to find.. I was thinkin' of the 406, or the 405 prestige fuel pump, will these work fine with the GTi conversions ??? Expternal or Internal I don't care much bout that..!!
