aldo56 0 Posted February 7, 2007 i got an engine from a site member a while back, its a 1900 gti btw and i finaly got round to fitting it . So im going about wiring it in and find that the sad has been removed and blocked up and the ecu coolant sensor isnt there and has been blocked off with a bolt. im not really bothered about the sad , and was going to get another one in its place but i was wondering if i need to get a coolant sencor?? im guessing yes but you never know! any ideas why someone would do this? thanks allan Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
taylorspug 7 Posted February 7, 2007 (edited) Maybe the engine was being used with carbs beforehand? This would negate the need for a coolant temp sensor and SAD.
