247mm will save you weight and are more than enough with decent pads! :) also what about drums on the back, are they lighter? as again, you dont need any braking at the back especially with your cheese grated thing heh

drums, to me seems like a very backwards step

i dont want to go down to a 247 disc either, i'll stick with the plan of a 283 disc and as paul says later i will get bells and discs made up for it

The elise is designed for a 283 disc so be better to stick with this. As mentioned the discs could be made lighter with alloy bells but at a big cost.

Spiky any idea how much the bracket will cost ?

i dont know the fitting on the else caliper (power can check :) ) if it's not m10, i can jut change it to what it is, i expect it's either m10 or 3/8

I have goodridge hoses specific fitment to the 1.9 gti and standard brake lines after that.

I take it the 205 is m10 fitment? I will try find out now what the elise AP's take.

Dug out a spare lotus caliper today, the fittings need to be male convex with 10x1mm thread <_<

Don't know if it bothers you but the vx220 uses the same caliper, sporting the ap racing decals on both sides.

No problemo Spiky.

Don't have many spares tbh, any we do have are emergency back-up for the the lotus-on-track cars or they'll be old and knackered with sheared bleed nipples.

yes, same fitment as the pug calipers <_<

A colleague is trying the ebc yellowstuff on his trackday elise at the moment, they seem like a good cheap alternative to the usual pagids and sbs that the track boys usually use. Could possibly fondle a discount with EBC as they're only a few miles from us.

I would be up for trying a set of ebc yellows at the right price.
