Do they have any homepage, and what's the price for a rear hatch and a bonnet?

sounds like AGMotorsport where i got the hatch for my corsa, took forever but when it came i was very pleased with it,

Bob the homepage can be found by googling, the bonnet is around 80 odd euro and iirc the hatch is roughly the same.

decided to tidy the garage up, as it was a mess and i wanted to park both cars in there

so put the 205 at a nice angle and started progress,

started by removing the rad and front grill, as i wanted to put the GTI6 alternator back on as it was running on the 1.9 8v alternator

Next i fitted my machined thermostat housing, which has been sat in the garage for ages, as it removes the plastic gti6 one, so i can run a 8v top hose

DSC05523.jpg

Next i removed the bonnet, ready for the fibreglass one, and removed the slam panel to get to the windscren motor which needs a over haul as it runs slow, if it dont work i'll put a new 106 one on there

I next removed the front valance, as i wanted to move the oil cooler to sit behind where the front fog lamp was (driver side) as passenger side will feeb the air filter

Looking good Spiky,

Have you ever thought about a different bolt to hold the above gear linkage down? (The one that the circular hole and attaches the linkage to the subframe).

I ask because mine always works its way loose giving a sloppy gearstick. There isn't quite enough thread that sticks out through the other side of the subframe to fit a lock nut on.

i see what you mean, but all i'm going to do is put thread lock on there

mine was loose when i first got the car, but i tightened it up and has been fine ever since

i have put new top hats now on the gearstick end and i have new one's for the part too :D

will see how it goes, if it does keep coming undone, i will get some made up :(

The annoying thing with mine as there isn't enough clearance to get the bloody thing out as the manifold is so close. So it means dropping the subframe of taking the manifold off.

DOH

what manifold you got then?

Hi Steve, like the recent changes :D

Quick question; how do you get on with the quaife diff ? I really fancy an LSD for mine and wondered what you thought of it really ? Was there much of an improvement on track ?

Garry/Spiky, fit one of Miles/Stew's bush kits and you'll get rid of the play and any issue with them coming loose as they use a standard (M10?) bolt and a sleeve rather than using the bolt as the shaft.

god yeah, i noticed a lot, half way through a corner i plant it, and it pulls me out, made a big difference in the wet too, as you had two wheels pull you out of corners and so can exit quicker

that looks good, especially the in-car adjuster bit.

where did you get it from (ebay?), how much did it cost and who's the manufacturer?

it looks like it *might* be convertable to in-cabin cylinders, which is what i need.

Bit of an update..lol.....

i plan to sit the engine on the mounts with no alteration at all,

as i'm going to use a pedal box, the only obstruction is the bulk head, and i think i have now solved that too now :)

my old XE did that at the join between the primaries and the collector because the exhaust was hitting the ground.
