problems :o

i bloody hope ZERO....lol

joking aside, i will have to keep an eye on a few things

water temps

drive shafts

braking

and see how it holds out

Haha, 'hope it hold out'

Obviously there is some jiggery pokkery with the intercooler but is the rest just bolt on with as you said GTI6 management?

These are rather pricey so will have to keep an eye out for a 2nd hand set up next year! As for the brakes I will have to go to some 15inch steelies with GTI6 brakes under. And as you say hope the shafts hold up! Water temp? = big radiator / fan!?

Edit ; I see theres always a fair few kits knocking about on the GTI6 forum. Will have to save up for next year!!!

water temp, as now there is a big fat intercooler infront of it,

so may need to get alloy rad which is a bit thicker

Welcome to the club Spiky :)

Water temps should be fine, since plumbing mine like yours (T piece) mine has run nice and cool, although I do have one of the low rad tec radiators.

Watch out for your noise output, with the charger your car will be much louder than before, not good with strict noise regs at circuits these days.

Power wise you will be very pleased, no need for high boost in my opinion, but you will have to look at the rest of the car and upgrade accordingly, ie bigger brakes, suspension, geo etc. Never ending cycle I am afraid!

I will be making a nice exhaust might even have two tail pipes, one each side, so I can have a third silencer or STD setup with big boxes and a pre made bung I can bolt on if need be.

Brakes done

Suspension done

Geo is to do :)

Hopefully I have sorted all the other bits for new

Power, time will tell

done a few things with the 205 over the weekend

had the car running briefly friday, which was nice :D

now just need to put it all back together

sorted the drive shafts,

wishbones

n/s Brakes plumbed in and bolt up

o/s brakes bolted up but not plumbed in

intercooler and rad brackets made up

so here are some pics

had some alloy pipe welded

205black.jpg

but wasnt happy with it (after i had painted it ...DOH!)

so have made up a new pipe which is in the pics below

P1020345.jpg

the bend on the left hand side, gets sucked in when the engine is running, have two bends and didnt realise the one i been using is the softer of the two, so will cut that to use and put some reinforcement inside. i think once the car is road legal i will take it to a fabricators and get a proper pipe made once and for all :)

but at least it's starting to look like a car again now :)

some more pics :)

still a few things left to do, but light is getting pretty bright at the end of the tunnel now
