kate205gti 4 Posted February 1, 2007 can anyone offer any advice on a reoccurring problem with my 1.1 205 please? it "knocks" while driving along - it seems to be effected by the type of road, ie: on a motorway it will knock all the time, on country roads it will get better and worse as you go over bumps (worse when your in the air!) the brakes are fine - no juddering when braking, the steerings fine - no vibration through the steering wheel, and it drives fine the knocking you can feel through the floorpan, seems to be more passenger side but cant really tell it stops if u take ur foot off the accelerator, but doesnt get worse the more u accelerate - is a on/off kind of thing ive got it on axle stands at the mo - have checked all bolts to struts/hubs/subframe bolts and calipers and all tight, grabbed wishbones, track rods etc.. and gave them a shake and nothing wobbles its had new driveshafts and calipers/discs to try and fix this and im now totally befuddled and have no car does anyone have any more ideas please???
