I thought about reconditioning a 1.6 beam to put on there, but she doesn't drive it hard enough to feel the benefits really. When it comes to selling the car, would a 1.6 beam on there make it worth any more? trogboy 17 Posted January 31, 2007 I don't think it would add any value as such and I think it would only be a useful selling point if you are selling to the right kind of person. My mum for example wouldn't care less if it had a GTi Rear beam so she'd part with no more cash. Some one who knows 205s would probably be more inclined to do so because they would know what a ball ache it is when your beam siezes up but not necessarily because it is a GTi beam over a base model one.
