Recommended Posts

chris1986

just checking as i read some where that the 1.9cti had differant pistons and i want to make sure i don't have that one as its lower power right? my piston have like a little slope in the taken out does this sound like the 130hp engine. will have to take a picture really. also the little plate on the block says d6b if i remember that correctly.

have tried searching but on some post some people say one thing and something else on another so i just want to make sure

thanks

i think it's only d6b that had the 128bhp, they were p1 and p2 i think. the compresion ratios are different, which could equate to a dish/cut out in the piston.

The CTi engine had different pistons & a different cylinder head afaik.

There used to be a webpage that showed the full list of differences with pictures but last time I checked it was a dead url so I must've deleted it from my favorites.

The CTi has the DFZ engine. The pistons have a much smaller dish than the 130hp piston, and thus give a much higher CR when used with a 130hp head. They may even be identical to the 1.6L piston.

your pistons sound like the ones i have in my garden, there off of a d6b, i think it was a 309. i'm guessing that you CTi had an engine change.
