Oil Pressure Guage

Recommended Posts

any one know how to fit the pipe work in a oil fed oil pressure guage?

as i cut the pipe thinking it was a wire. and removing the old pipe from the union i could not see any way for it to be held in place, no olive only plastic pipe

i fitted it back in as best as i could but it is not holding tight enough

any ideas???

I'm not following what you mean, is this for an aftermarket oil guage?

If you are talking about fitting the plastic pipe on to the metal pipe at the back of the gauge the dip the plastic pipe into very hot water for a few seconds and push it on. As the pipe cools it will form itself to the metal pipe and seal

Or something like that

it was the mechanical type

and got it sorted in the end

the union on the block had been crimped a bit too tight and would not let the pipe go through, or crimp anymore... so i got the gass axe out and warmed it up to cherry then put a 1/8 drill through

the pipe went through now... and squshed enough to hold it tight

job sorted
