jimbean 0 Posted January 21, 2007 any one know how to fit the pipe work in a oil fed oil pressure guage? as i cut the pipe thinking it was a wire. and removing the old pipe from the union i could not see any way for it to be held in place, no olive only plastic pipe i fitted it back in as best as i could but it is not holding tight enough any ideas??? sutol 0 Posted January 23, 2007 If you are talking about fitting the plastic pipe on to the metal pipe at the back of the gauge the dip the plastic pipe into very hot water for a few seconds and push it on. jimbean 0 Posted February 8, 2007 it was the mechanical type and got it sorted in the end the union on the block had been crimped a bit too tight and would not let the pipe go through, or crimp anymore... so i got the gass axe out and warmed it up to cherry then put a 1/8 drill through the pipe went through now... and squshed enough to hold it tight job sorted Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
