With a hydraulic handbrake, should I have braided lines or copper tubing run inside the car to the rear end?

I doubt it would make any difference except in price and looks. They would still function both the same.

OK. Which is the way rally teams do it -Or is that the same answer? What about peugeot WRC's?

I'd always go for solid pipes whereever possible because they are cheap, do the job, and easy to inspect for damage.

Braided lines have a degree of flex in them, but if you are routing brake pipe from the front bulkhead, through the car to the rear with a fixed point of attachment on each, you don't require the flex.

Obviously any part of the route needing flex you use braided lines.

My 106 has braided lines throughout...

They look the business, but cost a fortune and don't really add anything in terms of functionality.
