Door Pins

I need major help as i carnt find my pins on the hinge.

 

im assumng that they go down the little shaft?????? or are they the whole shaft that is part of the hinge???

 

ive not got a punch yet but when i stick a screwdriver (crude i know) i carnt feel any ridge of a pin down there?

Might be a good idea if I point something out here - that pic is of my car and it's a 405 with the torx headed pins.

to do the job properly you need this tool -

the pins are in the same place as the bolt in the picture above. about 7.5m in diameter IIRC.

 

If there arent any pins your door would fall off B)

They may not be pins as such - i.e. not a solid pins as you might expect, but a kind of hollow split tube, known as a roll pin.

What age is your 205? post 91 cars have bolt in pins rather than roll pins.

my 205 is a 1990 and im sure it has pins as there are no bolts to be seen

yours will have those in the pic. They may have a plastic cap over them to stop water ingess.

 

to do the job properly you need this tool -
