oli-pug 6 2 Cars Posted January 15, 2007 cannot believe it, i've managed to snap the bolt that connects the gear linkage arm to the subframe. god knows i managed to overtighten it is there anyway i can just replace the bolt itself, or do i need the whole linkage arm assembly back to the gearstick
davev 1 Posted January 15, 2007 is this the one with the 13mm nut on? the bar that moves when you move the gearstick side to side, NOT the L shape one. if it is then i was just messing with mine the other day, and i remember there being a clip that allows the part that bolts to the subframe to come off the actual gear link. oli-pug 6 2 Cars Posted January 15, 2007 yep thats the one mate, ill get down to pug tomorrow. i've managed to get that spring clip out but the bolt dosent want to budge out of its hole. it's in an awkward spot so cant get proper leverage really
pug_ham 244 3 Cars Posted January 16, 2007 If you've managed to shear that bolt you get to the nut underneath through the subframe, 13mm nut up inside the subframe & 14mm on the bottom of the pivot iirc. Graham.
