Phase Of Car And Badges.....

Hi, I have lost my rear quarter GTI badge from the passesnger side. Just a couple of questions about these. Do they come in two different colours. ie. grey and dark grey, almost black?? From reading some post I gather that phase one had the grey ones and phase 2 had the dark ones, can some please clarify this?? How do I determine which 'phase' my car is?? Mine is a 1991 'H' reg 1.9 GTi, in Sorrento Green but I think this is when it was a standard colour rather than a special edition as it does not have power steering?? So is mine a phase 1 or phase 2??? Also does anyone kow the price for a new badge from peugeot?? or anywhere else I may be able to source one?? And what is the best glue to stick them on with? Yours is most likely a phase two, i.e. black. The badges and exterior trim should be the same colour as the dashboard. There were some changover cars with bits of both though so you can never be certain, especially with a '91.

The only thing special about a "special edition" is the full leather seats. PAS was an option across the board. For examle: I have an H plate Sorrento 1.9 with PAS and a J plate Laser without PAS. Even if your badges where black, they would probably look grey by now anayway!

Easiest way to tell what phase you have is by the dash.

 

Phase 1 will be the very old style dash in grey (upto E reg I think), Phase 1.5 will be the new style dash also in grey (E-G I think) and Phase 2 is the new style dash but in black (Late G onwards)

Are youre seats a grey full leather with red piping or Half leather with green piping?

As the other guys say the dash colour is usually the best give away.

 

This is Black trim.

 

 

 

Mines a 91 on a J and I have seen one in the same village with grey trim on a G plate, he has the limited edition with grey carpets and Full leather grey seats..

Check your under bonnet vin plate.. I'm sure mine says Versin 2 on it.

My seats are the half leather with green/black velour check pattern. Just need to get this badge sorted to have her mint again!!!! Any suggestions where to find one???
