Anthony 1,003 Posted January 5, 2007 They'll fit fine, but the boot won't have the spoiler mounting holes in it There's more than one shade of white on 205's as well, but I'm not 100% sure when the changeover date was - I believe it's somewhere around 1991, and the earlier shade is alot more creamy in colour than the later one (in my experience atleast)
welshpug 1,675 Posted January 5, 2007 earlier was Alpine, later is Arctic I believe.
scumbag 0 Posted January 5, 2007 Ok cool. I am sure I can make the spoiler fit So if there is Alpine and Arctic, where does Bianca come into the equation? I was always led to believe mine was a Bianca White!!! It doesn't seem as bright as some I've seen. It's an 88 F plate 1.9 BTW!
welshpug 1,675 Posted January 5, 2007 diodnt think Bianca came on any 205's? late 405's (T16) and sport 306's.
scumbag 0 Posted January 5, 2007 I could very well be wrong!!!
Simes 248 2 Cars Posted January 5, 2007 Your paint code should be on the inner wing next to the battery.
welshpug 1,675 Posted January 5, 2007 Your paint code should be on the inner wing next to the battery. but never is!! my 306 and ZX are the only cars I've found the code on!
Anthony 1,003 Posted January 5, 2007 It's an 88 F plate 1.9 BTW! It'll be the earlier creamier shade, whatever name that is. From my (very limited) investigation it looks like they changed in early 1991 If you're buying from a late van I'd strongly suggest putting the panels up against your car before spending money - I bought a pair of doors for my 89/F white 205 from a 92/J white 205 and they were completely different shades and would have stuck out like a sore thumb if I'd fitted them. scumbag 0 Posted January 5, 2007 Yeah i will park it next to the van tomorrow and see if it matches well. cheers!
Grim.Badger 15 Posted January 8, 2007 Lots of people say that Bianca was never used on the 205, but my old Diesel style was bianca white, either that or the paint had faded to be a perfect match for Halfords bianca white I'm certain that's the colour Peugeot used most often and is the reason most people can't get a good colour match on their white 205s. DaveW 6 Posted January 8, 2007 My old 94' 1.1 was bianca white.
