Yer Carisma modified front bumper and side skirts, the spoiler is a Wings west Civic one, the rear bumper is a custom made one and i think the archs are Antares ones. Il try get a couple of pix from Revs mag when he was doing the work on the car.

It wouldn't look too bad without the spoiler, and maybe on some 17's?

I brought the 205 about a year and a half ago now after selling my 5 turbo. At the time i liked it bar the spoiler, the spoiler isnt quite as big as it looks in real life. When i brought the car it had all the body work done by the previous owner, Paul Hunt from Revs he now works for Max Power. The car use to be a red gti, he brought it with an Mi16 in it. He got the engine rebuilt, Piper cams, twin 45s, Ported and polished head, a 1.6 box and the 19s. The engine still needs running in as far as i know.

I've actually got some of the articles at home from years ago when that car was being built.

It was actually Neil Hunt , not Paul Hunt that owned the car.

I think the car looks o.k. aswell, so don't worry too much about the purists on here, we are all a friendly bunch :)

Yer i realised it was Neil not Paul today and was guna edit the post :D. Can you let me know which Month articles you have? Ive got about 5 copys of Revs with it in.

Not worryd about the purists. I like the standard look alot and have done since i was young and dreamt of owning a Gti.

I did the same thing with the spoiler last night, think it looks better with a smaller spoiler or none at all. Guna try my mates 17s at the weekend to see how the wheels sit in the archs and how high the back end sits.

Think that the wheel will smash the part of the arch nearest where the front bumper goes with the 19s on. That part of the arch hangs over part of the wheel. Duno if when the suspension is compressed it will catch there. Would 309 drive shafts and wishbones camber the wheels or push them out more?

I've never had big wheels on a car, but I've got 18" wheels on my Beemer, std BMW fitment for the MSport kit, i.e. not aftermarket ones.

Just this minute had to buy 2 new front tyres for its MOT and they've cost me £291!! :)

Never realised they were that expensive, I pay £30 a corner for the 205 :) Those tyre prices would be enough for me to move it back to 15"!!

Tryed my mates 17s he had on his Saxo, they said the offset was 0 would that be right? I thought

they would be more like 15mm. The 19s look quite close on the back with the 309 beam, the offset of the 19s are 15mm. Checked the front coilovers and they have 8" 250lbs springs, i take it they will be firm?

i agree with simon(dreamweaver) maybe sell the rear hatch and spoiler on ebay and pop some 16"wheels on to promote better handling etc

although it is your car!!!

so go with what you feel is best for you!!

I would run 15s if ihad a standard 205 again, think 16s will be tiny in the archs and the kit to low to the floor. Am thinking if i keep the car toput a standard smooth boot on.

I think 16s will look lost in those rear arches but oaky on the front (17s look a little too big imo), if I had the car I'd think about getting the rear arch extended and the suspension raising and losing the rear spoiler.

Once that's done I don't think it would look too bad, not my cup of tea but it's nice to have a bit of difference.

Dont wanna run anything smaller than 17s because of the archs. Not sure what wheels to go for though. Any one good with photoshop? What offset should i try and get?

This is the smooth boot with a smaller spoiler that im getting, think the spoiler maybe an ecosse one.
