Guest georgerbrs Posted December 29, 2006 I am swapping from a 205 gearbox to a 405 gearbox to be used in my 205 (1.9) i'm guessing that the TDC sensor will now fit in the hole circled in red in the picture below as apposed to being held in place by the strange plastic holder on the 205 box. (which coincidentally i broke when taking the box out, as well as the top engone mount, aren't i a pro) http://i142.photobucket.com/albums/r86/geo...46tdcmarked.jpg If so, it seems to me that the sensor will now be a few degree's higher, will this make the engine run badly or am i being ridiculous? Also, does anyone know where i can get the insert to fit into said hole in 405 gearbox to hold TDC sensor in place? I know its a lot of questions, any answers much appreciated. Miles 331 1 Cars Posted December 29, 2006 Only if you car run's the Motronic will you need a TDC sensor as it uses the teeth on the flywheel for crank position, If not bin it as it's a never used diag tool
