CaptainP 2 Posted December 27, 2006 I was looking to buy and fit one for my GTI as they seem cheap enough now. I have an automatic bonnet on mine, should that cause any problems? Reading through the search results highlighted that some people had the OMP rub their bonnets, should I be expecting that on mine or have they changed the shape a little? Jrod 7 Posted December 28, 2006 It more than just touched mine! After a few months I could see a small dent through the bonnet as it pressing on the support than runs along the bonnet. In the end I got a new bonnet and used an angle grinder to remove some of the support off the bonnet and now it shuts fine without ever touching. As said auto bonnet should be fine tho.
