boldy205 75 Posted December 27, 2006 is there a real need to go to bigger wheels? Sometimes it can make them look a bit tractor like!! my 205 is dropped about 35ish mm with orginal 15" speed lines and they dont look at all small, suit the car in my opinion. but then its only an opinion! steve@cornwall 100 Posted December 27, 2006 Im having the cti lowerd 50mm (will look like 30mm as it sits so high!)What size wheel can I go up to?? 16" or 17"?? Just measured mine- distance in mm from road to bottom of arch standard CTI / 185/60/14 Front 640 Rear620 Lowered CTI / 195/45/15 Front 580 Rear580 So, lowered 60mm at front & 40 at rear. I needed the 45 profile tyres on 15" rims, as the 185/55/15s rubbed the rear arches with 2 passengers! I wouldn't go above a 15" rim, personally, as I have receipt5s with the history of the car for 16" Venoms (Yuk!) shortly after the lowering (also receipted) and the arches are showing signs of SERIOUS rubbing in the past!
