Fish and chips go very well together.

But

Is it possible to run twin webbers and a turbo on my humble 1.9?

Only if you run carbs designed for turbo use. Carbs basically use vaccuum to draw fuel into the cylinders.

A turbo on traditional carbs wouldn't work as no fuel would be drawn out and instead if it could run it would force air back into the carbs.

Weber DCOEs were apparently designed with forced induction in mind. But you can basically use use any carb as long as you use the right fuel pressure regulator to keep the fuel pressure a few psi above boost pressure.

Don't use GT Turbo carbs, they are laughably bad.

Dont forget the mushy pea's...

If you want to do something original to a pug turbo engine, have a look @ the quad Throttle bodies that the Pulsar engine uses, seem to work very well ;)

i had a quad throttle bodies setup and it made quite good power 170bhp with only 5psi of boost, made the car more like n/a, and wanted to rev a lot, have moved away from it now and gone to a 72mm throttle bodie,
