(turbo) Errorcode 54 Mp 3.2

hi there,

 

i have upgraded my 2.0 turbo.

 

(big projekt)

new mapsensor,chip,inletmanifold,outletmanifold,turbo,injectors and so on...

 

ECU shows an errorcode: 54

 

"change ecu/knocksensor"

 

habe tried lots of thinks. changed sparkmodul etc.

have measured all wiring(loom)...nothing, all ok.

changed chip also...

 

knows anybody this error??? (known hints?)

and when replacing, do not do it up too tight, its a crystal microphone and they crush v v easily

you can test the knock sensor without an oscilloscope, if you use a multimeter and tap the engine block with a metal spanner. There should be a voltage increase while tapping, if there isn't the sensor is at fault.

 

There is also a resistance test but I can't remember the specified values.

Depends on what frequency the knock sensor reacts on. :huh:

every knock sensor I have ever come across has always responded to a soft tap on the engine block.
