matt205xs 0 Posted December 12, 2006 Anyone know if an 8v 1.6 GTI Level Sensor will fit a 2.0 mi?
smckeown 1 Posted December 12, 2006 I didn't realise there was an oil level sensor ? Are you sure you are not referring the oil temp or pressure ?

pug_ham 245 3 Cars Posted December 13, 2006 The 205 was a very rare model with the oil level sensor wired up, Peugeot even scrapped it because it was so rubbish. Personally I wouldn't bother even trying to wire it in but afaik the oil level sensor had two pins to guage resistance in regards to the oil level. Graham. Alastairh 47 Posted December 13, 2006 This the yellow plug at the back of the block? Try Pug for a new one, may well not be that expensive. Maybe look on lesser models like 8v Xu10s?
jim21070 2 Posted December 13, 2006 You might be able to use a Xantia one. Most had them and scrappies usually have a few examples. The Xantia one works most of the time unless you are parked on a hill at a funny angle.
Grim.Badger 15 Posted December 13, 2006 Did any of the XUD engines have one? When I had the engine changed on my old diesel there was a sensor on the back of the new engine that wasn't present on the old engine. I never tried to figure out what it was, the mechanic said he didn't know what it was either. Sorry for the hijack
