mos 1 Posted December 11, 2006 hi, went in peugeot today to pick a few parts i had ordered and decided to price up a few radiator fan switches. searches of previous posts on here revealed that part no 1264 27 - slow on at 84 and off at 79, fast on at 88 and off at 83. has the lowest temperature range of the 1990 onwards fan switches. problem is peugeot want £28 for one!!! i know i must be able to get this cheaper elsewhere other than a main dealer but first i need to know what car it is normally fitted to. plus does anyone know a decent motor factors etc... i can get fan switches from cheaper than peugeot. thanks mark

mos 1 Posted December 11, 2006 Yes camberley auto factors, have a nose through their books would be nice if i was local but i am based in manchester could really do with knowing which car the fan switch is from as standard at least then i can ask motor factors for a fan switch for a peugeot x, year x model x engine x and see what prices they charge, i do still have some trade accounts as well so i could get the part through them. i just resent paying £30ish for a part i can probably get trade for a £5 thanks mark
sonofsam 5 Posted December 12, 2006 Yeah I know what you mean, BTW I did actually look at the lowest temp. one they did ( wich is the one you stated I beleive ) but it had the wrong plug end on it So i had to go the next one up wich matched the plug on the car IIRC it was £15 ish. hengti 2 Posted December 12, 2006 i believe that ECP/GSF do them for about £10-£15 their parts stock reference numbers can be a bit random though - it'd probably be best to go in and ask to look at a selection from stock
davev 1 Posted December 12, 2006 i just got one myself. like u i phoned peugeot first and quickly started phoning elsewere. got mine fron euro car parts, part no 223545071. should be a 87/83-92/88 one but it says 84/79-88/83 on the switch so ill have to see. its also a different connection and when i asked ecp about it they had a look and said the lowest rating he could find with the right connection was about 93/88 - 97/92 which seems abit high considering im tring to get my temps down. hope this helps. dave. oh yeah it cost £11 so alot cheaper. sonofsam 5 Posted December 12, 2006 That'll be the earlier type one then. No part no. as such im afraid. Was a motor factor part. Make:Commercial ignition , no. on box XEFS210 Equiv :INTR 50105/0350144. Best to take a phone pic of your plug with you, then they can match it up for certain:)

davev 1 Posted December 12, 2006 the number is from a 205 but they have many different temp ratings. see here http://www.stuartmcguire.co.uk/pug/GB/205F/1/12C20A.HTM thats for a 205 91 on. sonofsam. the problem with mine was ecp didnt have the lower temp one listed with a straight plug, only the higher one. hense if you had a part no hanging around, id go back and get them to swap it. dave.
