Ryan 99 Posted December 9, 2006 I've tried a few BMW forums, but since it's not a question about how to fit 20s, or how much M3 badges cost they aren't much help. Does anybody know if the throttle body from injection M10 engines (in the E30 316i/318i, and later E28 518) are all exactly the same - same mounting, and importantly same bore and throttle plate size? The ones that look this these: ...got half an idea about using 4 of them as a set of cheap throttle bodies.
StuartE 0 Posted December 9, 2006 Have you tried e30zone ?
Ryan 99 Posted December 10, 2006 No, but I will now. Thanks!
doughboy 0 Posted December 10, 2006 Might be a tough one since the E28 isn't on ETK.(bmw parts diagram software)
Ryan 99 Posted December 10, 2006 (edited) I know the M10 engine in the 87-88 E30 316i has a 42-43mm throttle, which is ideal. But finding 4 of them will take forever. If the 318i and/or 518i have the same size then it will double/triple the number of cars to check... The ETK version I downloaded doesn't have part numbers for any of the E30 throttle bodies at all, so I can't compare them. I might try ringing a dealer, maybe they have them on microfische?
