max0 5 Posted December 2, 2006 My cars been running like a dog for a while now (taking about 8 attempts to start, firing up on one cylinder generally farting all over the place) So today I cleaned up the earths on the wing and gearbox. Changed Spark Plugs Checked the dizzy cap wasnt damp - was dryer than a nuns twot Still no luck, fired her up and had a look under the bonet and noticed the spark was arching between the HT leads near the dizzy I turned her off and cleaned the very small amount of oil from the leads and she fired up first time, and ran so much better - back of the net! Did manage to give my self quite a shock from the dizzy tho Will order a set of new leads. Just need to secure the battery and slam panel and take her for a spin, and fall in love again Could this arckin caused any more issues?
