Hi, just bought a second hand pair of phase 2 lexus lights for my pug. They have a multiple of leads on them, do I use the long strip style connecting block or the 3 single plugs... or do i use everything??

Cheers

I think that you just throw them in the bin and put some Ph2's on? :)

Although I tend to agree with Technopug........ arm yourself with some spare fuses and use trial and error?--or call whoever you bought them from if no-one here can help? If the plugs don't look like they're designed to fit with your existing wiring, glance through the ph1 to ph2 light conversion article on the main site- they may actually be designed with ph1 in mind!

PS good to see another Cornish Pugger

Well, on the original lights there is a long strip plug which is the same as the lexus lights so thats a simple "plug in" job. BUT there are also 3 double spaded plugs which I think back into the loom. The wires that are in the loom at present connect to what I think is the indicator and brake lights, can't be sure though. Somebody must have done this mod, I shouldn't have thought there would be any rewiring needed.

Steve

P.S Good to see you too mate, a pug meet may need to be arranged in Cornwall :)

Perhaps those extra plugs are to allow them to be fitted to a 205 with phase 1 lights?

Sorry, but I think that lexus 'style' lights are in the same league as fitting TSW Venoms to a 205.

As said both Phase 1 and 2 had different plug's so depending on which type they where made for makes either for a simple plug and pray or some re-wiring, Just get a test meter (Or bulb on a wire) and try each circuit and plug it into the light.

You will find that no one on here like's the Lexus light's, me either but just ignore us

Just an update to this: Steve, used your trial and error method (armed with fuses) and the conversion documents from Ph1 - 2 and my lights are on and working.... Hate to say it but you guys were right about the fact they don't look quite right on a 205. It's certainly different though, and it compliments the morette head lamps I fitted on the front of the car 7 years ago.

Cheers for the advice.
