mos 1 Posted November 24, 2006 hi, on with my s16 conversion and noticed the oil pressure sender/switch are missing from the front of the block!!! i know the 8v stuff fits on the alloy 1.9 16v but i am pretty sure the 8v units will not fit the 2.0ltr iron block, not the right thread, have i got this right? plus which sensor goes where please?! help mark
jonand 0 Posted November 24, 2006 Not sure whether 8v bits fit , but the S16 thread size is M16 x 1.5, and the one nearest the g/box is the warning light switch with the one nearest cambelt being the guage sender. Cheers Jon
stew205 17 Posted November 25, 2006 From memory the switch fits but the pressure sender doesn't. I did the following: If you get hold of a standard S16/GTI6 sender then cut the sensor off. Then use the remainder as an adaptor. All you need to do is drill the center out and tap it 10mmX1. Thanks Stew
pugrallye 0 Posted November 26, 2006 the S16 should have a oil pressure sender as std, they are never wired up though its white and lives by the alternator
