allanallen 528 2 Cars Posted November 22, 2006 can't see them weighing any less than standard to be honest i think they said they weighed around 3kgs. i'm lookin at replaceing the wings on my sorrento and wondered if its worth spendin a bit more on fiberglass ones, at least they wouldn't get dinted! PUGugly 0 Posted November 22, 2006 What do the standard wings weigh, can't be much can they??
Dino 3 Posted November 22, 2006 The standard wings weigh absolutely feck all - so an utterly pointless buy IMHO. I wouldnt buy from a certain ghostly sounding company anyway...........
PUGugly 0 Posted November 22, 2006 Far more weight could be saved by changing the rear hatch to a F/Glass one! Any one know how much this mod could save on weight??
Batfink 201 Posted November 22, 2006 their prices made me laugh - for the price of their carbonfibre bonnet and boot I could get a mould and a bonnet made. Dont pay more than about £80 for a fibreglass boot or bonnet
Dj_mini 7 Posted November 22, 2006 Iv got a pair from them. They are just lighter than the standard but its only woryh doing if you have run out of weight saving options which i have. As per most fiberglass moldings the fit is rubbish but as my car is being built to work no look pretty i dont mind to much. As for the company they seemed un organised wilst i was on the phone but i must admit they turned up when they said thay would.
Paintguy 0 Posted November 22, 2006 at least they wouldn't get dinted! No, being fiberglass they'll probably just shatter if they get any kind of knock.
James_R 3 Posted November 23, 2006 Fibre glas will just crack, it's not that flexable, kevlar will absorb dings much better
