Boot Release Solenoid (again)

Hello again.

 

I am still looking for a Boot Release Solenoid for my xs.

I have desided that I want a new one.

Like the one (mattcony) has got.

 

I think i must of upset him, as he has not replyed to any of my PM's.

 

So if anyone knows where I can get one of thease kit or thay can get one.

I can't seem to find anyone in the uk, with the the above Boot Release Solenoid Kit.

The only peps that seem to have it is comps, down under (Australia).

 

Can anyone help me locate one in the UK please.

So far these peps are the only peps with anything close.

And there are not in the uk.

I have found someone that are chepish (around £15-£20 for the unit plus inport), but I have to buy 200 units.

I have just e-mailed the comp back to try and find out how much thay will cost inc P+P and inport. and to see if i can buy a smaller amount. IE 20.

how much did you pay?

I payied £22.00 each inc P+P.

But he told me that price is only untill end of may.

 

He thinks that thay will go up to about £30.00.

I have just been contacted by "msilcocks@hotmail.com" he has just told me that he has just sent out the Boot Release Solenoid Kit's.

So i should get them on tuesday, Due to bank hol monday.

I have just had some post, And guess what, it's the Boot Release Solenoid Kit's.

That means i can start on the boot & bonet this weekend.

Oh what fun.

I did the one for the bonet in about 30min's.

I started trying the feed the cable for the boot @ 1pm, and fin @ 10pm.

But I also had a lot of work to do as well.

Today i am going to fit the kit to the boot.

Well i now have all the kit's fitted and working in the car, so I am now happy.

How exactly would u go about doin this?

can the origional tailgate be used?

mine looks like mad-prof's already other than the lock.

is if difficult?
