Rob Thomson 6 Posted November 20, 2006 I need to source a sump for a 106 XSi 1360cc. Are they the same as any other TU? Are they the same as the 106 Rallye sump? Thanks!
trogboy 17 Posted November 20, 2006 I know that the iron and ally blocks have different sumps for sure. Not sure about any other differences though. Ad
Rob Thomson 6 Posted November 20, 2006 Anyone got a chassis number for an XSi they don't mind me using at my local Pug dealer...? It's far too much like hard work for them to actually think?
axnutty 10 Posted November 20, 2006 Im fairly sure all alloy tu sumps are the same irespective of model. Think they are quite expensive new. Get a good one off an ax at the scrappies? Just look for one that may have been fitted to the Exxon Valdez of 106's and it should be nice and rust free too
Sandy 191 Posted November 20, 2006 Alloy block and Iron block sumps are different shapes, XSi is Iron block. Some have a boss for an oil temp sender, some don't depending on model.

Rob Thomson 6 Posted November 20, 2006 Sump problem solved, but thanks for all replies! Sam, that sounds good to me... apart from the staying sober part.
