Now i'm pretty sure that all 205 windscreens are the same, but i wanted to check before i go to the scrappy tomorrow to get a replacement for my cracked one.

Can anybody confirm this for me?

Cheers

Sean

some were tinted, wouldnt bother with a scrappy oen though, it'll be a biatch to get out and transport, and will be as scratched as any other cscreen youll find.

205 screens are cheap anyway!

Hmmm, how much are screens new?

I'm a touch low on funds at the moment, which is why i was going to go to a scrappy.

There's a difference in the rubbers too, sunroof ones and non sunroof ones differ at the top.

Well i am planning on re-using my current rubber from the car, and fit the replacement windscreen to that.

Are you sayin they are a slightly different size then?

No there's just a lip to direct airflow over the top of the sunroof on sunroof models, and the same profile all the way round on the non sunny's.

So sunroof ones fit to non sunroof ones then?

GTi models have bronze tint, i'm unsure whether non gtis have the same.

Most base models don't, I also think the XS has a different tint to the GTi.

I got a new gti screen and was told by the 'glass man' that it had a very light brown tint to it.

Correct...it's bronze tinted.

I always use a new rubber as it is very easy to damage the rubber and it will start to leak.

Dino had a dark green tint on his sorrento (RIP).

Nice it was too, and something i'll be looking at putting into mine when the need arises.
