inferno 1 Posted November 3, 2006 I want to be cheep and copy it for my own use, and although the pics available are almost all i need to reproduce it, id like to know the tubeing size and a few other measurements... alternatively if you have one you no longer need... i might buy it! cybernck 402 1 Cars Posted November 4, 2006 hold on, maybe Pieter will reply to this? :)
Sam 4 Posted November 4, 2006 Another change of plan? You really won't reproduce the same quality I really doubt it unless you're pro.
inferno 1 Posted November 4, 2006 (edited) im a pro although obviously as the jobs been done and looks good, i want to make my life easy rather than starting from scratch! plan is to turbo my cti ready for some chav to buy next summer:P i think the turbo up top would entice more boy racery chav types;) ive placed an order now anyway, didnt realise how cheep they were Edited November 4, 2006 by inferno

adrian_gti 0 Posted November 10, 2006 (edited) thx cybernck! looks good... would be nice to have the turbo up there instead of it being tucked away behind the engine... not too sure about the price though edit: sorry just noticed it's in euros.... some very very nice stuff there! pug_life 0 Posted November 10, 2006 the full kit for manifold and downpipe gaskets and a turbo is £1500 thats beyond reasonable to be honest as it includes the ballbearing garret series turbo
adrian_gti 0 Posted November 10, 2006 (edited) ya noticed it was euros not £ asking them how much the intercooler on this page costs: http://www.dp-engineering.com/inc/photo.ph...ma_kuuner_3.jpg lots of lovely stuff that could be added to my xmas wishlist... shame i havent got a clue what most of the stuff does tho what about pistons for the kits? welshpug 1,657 Posted November 10, 2006 they do turbo kits too, 1700 euros for an 8v XU sounds damn good, I wouldnt have a clue where to start on the management, though I do have a TT Fifth injector controller I wonder if they do N/A fanimolds too?
pdd144c 0 Posted November 10, 2006 After seeing the quality of their work first hand, they are worth every single penny. Complete work of art. Hopefully fitting one of their 16v manifolds to mine soon if it will fit.
Sam 4 Posted November 11, 2006 Did it look ok for clearance? When are you thinking of bringing it back (just so I know to be in)?
Hilgie 16 2 Cars Posted November 11, 2006 Their 16V turbo manifold was designed to fit in a LDH 205s enginebay, so no problems at all on a RHD car!
Sam 4 Posted November 11, 2006 But he has a mental roll cage which may effect things. That's why he was asking before
Hilgie 16 2 Cars Posted November 12, 2006 I have seen the pics. But all that pipework clears the place where the manifold is.
pdd144c 0 Posted November 12, 2006 (edited) Yeah it all clears Sam, will next weekend be ok? PM me your number as I can't seem to find it. Thanks again for letting me try it! Wanted to be 100% sure Hilgie before parting with that amount of money! Very close to the water housing though... 405 T16 manifold and VAT25 turbo for sale soon Edited November 12, 2006 by pdd144c

Guest Sentic Posted November 15, 2006 The Dp manifold looks a lot like mine, i made mine calculating for equal lenght runners before i heard of it, seems like there is only one way to do it i recall that i used 32.5mm internal diameter pipes, but i can't find my notes about it. So take it for what it is, a 1,5-2 years old memory.
inferno 1 Posted December 25, 2006 DP 8v manifolds are no good for RHD cars
bales 1 Posted December 25, 2006 Whys that? I have been thinking of maybe getting one, is it to do with where the downpipe exits and clearance around that area? I am sure I have seen a picture of one installed on a RHD car and fitting fine
