What Colour Primer For Miami Blue

Hi guys as the title in the thread, finally getting round to painting the grille i bought around 3 years ago for my last Pug and wanted to know the best colour primer for Miami blue please or will any work?

Any will do, but I'd go for a grey plastic primer personally.

Miami (like many similar blues) is a low hiding power colour, i.e. it'll need more coats than normal to obliterate the colour underneath. Light grey is what my colour scheme recommends to go under it, but personally I mix something up that's as close to miami as I can manage, to save coats of paint. Primer is cheap - paint isn't
