Moys1.9 0 Posted October 26, 2006 Hi all. Last week I finished my engine recondition & rebuild and shes running ok (apart from I don't have an oil temp reading ). I've been keeping it under 3000 revs and keeping smooth acceleration curves. I've done 250 miles since the rebuild. How many miles should I do before I need to re-torque the head? Couldn't find it on a search or in the haynes book of dreams. Any advice appreciated.

Moys1.9 0 Posted October 26, 2006 Oh right. Why's that? Is it cause they stretch once? Why do you have to re-torque them on some other engines? Just out of curiosity ?
