stutto 0 Posted October 24, 2006 As title, the needle on my gauge sits between the first and second marks regardless of anything else eg ignition/engine on/off. Is the gauge stuck or could something further down the wiring to the sensor cause this?
pug_ham 245 3 Cars Posted October 25, 2006 Its possible that the connector is on the wrong sensor on the head or the wire is broken. Has the head ever been off & does your guage move at all when the car gets hot? Graham.
stutto 0 Posted October 25, 2006 (edited) My big ends went, bought a second hand short block, so the head has only gone back on last week and the gauge does not move at all. Edit: Thanks for the reply but it worked this morning on my way in to work. I had cleaned up all of the connectors last night but it appeared to make no difference. On the advice of my brother I also tried the BF&I method this morning - hit the dash hard with my fist. One or a combination of both seems to have worked!
