Gear Box Selecter Arm Swap

Recommended Posts

Alastairh

Hello quick question.

I've got a mi box that has the wrong size selecter arm to fit in a 205 as you all know.

I've got the arm off the mi box and on attempting putting the 205 one on, the pin bit that the arm sits around wants to fall down/has.

Any ideas providing i can pull it up using a magnet how i can hold this pin up. Despite me cleaning both contacts i still need to tap it with a hammer and becoming tricky.

ive just coverted my mi box for my 205.the best way to stop the pin dropping is to use a flat thin screw drive and hold it in the groove just above the flat washer and spring thingy.

Use magnet to pull it up. Then hold with flat crewdriver as 5150maxie suggests.

You do not need hammer to put new selector arm on the shaft, use some oil, that should be enough to put it by hand.
