matt205xs 0 Posted October 18, 2006 can someone draw me a diagram on wiring the rev counter up? thanks
M@tt 77 Posted October 18, 2006 (edited) well its just wire number 112 that goes from the coil to one of the connectors that plugs into the back of the instrument cluster. You'll find its usually the green shielded wire. Edited October 18, 2006 by M@tt
matt205xs 0 Posted October 18, 2006 does it go via fuse box or relay ? and connect to which connection on the coil?
M@tt 77 Posted October 18, 2006 No fuse or anthing and goes directly from the negative side of the coil (old cylinder type of coil with connectors on the top of it) or will just be in the 1 main plug on the later style ones through the bulk head and up to the intrument cluster to one of the pins on one of the 3 plugs on the back of the instrument cluster. matt205xs 0 Posted October 18, 2006 sounds easy enough, cheers
pug_ham 245 3 Cars Posted October 18, 2006 The rev counter has some links with a fuse #1 iirc, if that blows the the rev counter stops working along with losing the dash lights but the wire doesn't run through the fusebox afaik. On the inlet mounted coil plug it goes to pin #1 which also has a green shielded wire in but wire 112 is a blue/ grey colour. Graham.
cybernck 403 1 Cars Posted October 18, 2006 graham> correct, but that's only the +ve supply for the rev counter and can be taken from other places. matt205xs> do a search as we've had a detailed conversation (with schematics) very recently.
