batoutofhell 0 Posted October 17, 2006 Hi guys Got a 406 as a daily drive atm that I've bought couple of weeks ago. The airbag light keeps flashing. (was like it b4 I bought it) Does anybody know how to stop it from flashing as it's getting quite annoying when driving at night. Thanks in advance, Cheers, John
sonofsam 5 Posted October 17, 2006 I would imagine you need some sort of reset tools, as in here http://www.airautomotive.com/Specials.htm Or take it to Peugeot, could equal £££ though! Can you not just take the bulb out, or cover it with black tape:)

Will have a look a that website as well. Thanks
sonofsam 5 Posted October 17, 2006 No worries mate- good luck with it:) Air bag most likely the seat belt pre-tensioners under the seats. -Worth a look, Courtesy of Boombang
boombang 2 Posted October 17, 2006 ooo famous I am! My 106 was a bitch for this and it turned out to be the connectors on the seat belt pre-tensioner wires. Once its all connected up properly, to reset its a simple as ignition off, ignition on. I'm not sure of the implications of the airbag or the other pre-tensioners not working if the light is on so its worth looking into. Mine was covered with black tape for a year, then a quick pull out and plug back in of the connector under drivers seat sorted it. Worst case it could be that a pre-tensioner or airbag has gone off in the past in an accident.

Phil H 16 Posted October 19, 2006 the connector under the seat tends to need the connectors squeezing together every so often.
