sonofsam 5 Posted October 17, 2006 Depends on how far you want to take it really? Brasso will do the job, but there are better products(more expensive ) polishing soaps on the market. If you are feeling like a skin flint, try Toothpaste or lemon juice.
smighall 1 Posted October 17, 2006 I use Autoglym metal polish, think it might be made specially for bikes? but does the job a treat anyhow.

Baz 421 Posted October 17, 2006 I use allsorts, very fine wet and dry, Autosol, Farecla compounds, cutting and polishing bars with a drill mounted mop, Vienna lime etc. There's some good refinishing kits on Ebay.

Edp 67 3 Cars Posted October 17, 2006 I always find the autoglm one to work really well. I have a different one too but i cant remember the name. Both are pastes and i use an old toothbrush to whack the stuff on. Autoglym seams to take the dirt of quicker and stays polished for longer. Ed
sonofsam 5 Posted October 17, 2006 Get the surface to be polished thoroughly clean of dirt and grease beforehand with some de-greasant. Ok if we are bringin out the bling This is what can be acheived with just plain emery cloth and scotchbrite.
