24seven 104 Posted October 12, 2006 OK I'm not sure of the names of different gearshift linkages, but there's one at the back of the engine behind the head, and on my car it appears to be held together with wire wrapped around it. This would probably explain the sloppy loose fore/aft movement of the gearstick. This gives me an excuse to get a short throw kit, but I want to replace the entire gearshift mechanism outside of the gearbox, so what do I need to do this?
