Oz Superleggeras - Fitting

Recommended Posts

TonyGTI

I have just bought a secondhand set of OZ Superleggeras for my track car.

Has anyone fitted these to their 205 with 307 brake and stud conversion?

They are 7x15 with ET37, so I need spacers but how wide?

I have a stud conversion on the hubs, so will I need longer studs?

I am also hoping they will fit over the 307 discs I have fittted!

I know I should have asked these question before buying but I am sure I can sell them if they do not fit!

I'm sure I had a 10 or 15mm spacer when I had mine (I can meaure them this w/e if you like), although I've got hi-spec racing calipers not 307 ones. I have heard 20mm ones mentioned.

Were these the ones on psooc ? I'd like a set in white..hmmmm

Sean,

Thanks for the reply.

would appreciate it if you measured yours at the weekend.

These were on Pistonheads £250 for 4 including delivery

Having spoken to the seller the wheels have kerbing marks but are straight so good excuse to tidy them up and spray them white :D

Are you running ACB10's on your car I seem to remember you mentioning them. I had them on my seven and they are impressive but wondered how they would wear on a heavier car on the track.

Yeah looked at those, i sold my last ones not kerbed much for that sort of money, so didn't go for them in the end

Yeah I plan to go ACB10's, they are by far the best tyres I have used on track, just love the way they slide progressively on the limit rather than snap. They come in many different compountds, so have a chat with George Polley Motorsport, they can advise on the best compound for car weight etc. If you do progress then let me know as i'm VERY keen on going this route next.

Of course if you want to do a trade on my existing Rota Attack's with nearly new 048Rs then let me know :P

Sean,

Just (last 5 minutes) bought a set of 5 secondhand ACB10's 195/45 15's for £30 each from this site which I am sure you are familiar with http://www.motorsportparts.co.uk/

At this price They are worth experimenting with.

Bought 5 because front nearside always wears out well before the others.

I think they only come in a few compounds A24 (caterham tyre) and A22 really soft sprint hillclimb tyre which wouldn't last more than a couple of laps before overheating.

Guy there is call Tim really nice chap who tracks a 205 and has been using these tyres.

Has plenty more if you want some.

I now have a pair of brand new 195/50/15's A048's going spare :P

The spacers I used for my superleggeras with hi-spec 4 pots are 10mm
