pugbliss 0 Posted October 10, 2006 hey all. im gonna tackle the rear bearing in my 1.6 gti near side. ive been told ill need some circlip plyers but as far as i know there are 2 kinds...inner and outer. Pugnut 9 1 Cars Posted October 10, 2006 you'll need an inner circlip plyers . you'll also need to press out the old bearing and press in a new one . By press i mean a hydraulic press . take the hub and new bearing down to a garage and throw them a beer token or two for swapping it out . it will take them minutes . it will take you hours!
