Lowering Steering Height

Guys,

 

I've just bought a track prepared 205 gti 1.9, I want to drop the steering height abit but there's no way of adjusting the height with a handle or anything.

 

IS there anyway way of having this lowered abit to make it more comfortable when on track.

Lowering the steering column can be done to an extent.

Or you could try a big deep dish wheel?

I lowered mine a bit as described in that thread, but I've since put it back to standard because I didn't like the angle the u/j was at.
