I just replaced ALL the lines in my track car for braided from the M/C to Calipers... Can highly recommend Merlin Motorsport for this service

two shop keepers now have told me i cant have braided pipe from the m/c to the back calipers :S

how much did that all set you back Jonmurgie ? and did you have to measure all your old pipes before giving merlin a ring ?

if it doesnt cost a bomb to change the lot i may just do that..

most the old fittings are all rusted in so i cant look so see whats female/male or anything :|

their really isnt much detail on this on the forum..

basically im pretty happy that you can use one pipe for the back discs and split off into two pipes for both calipers..

but are their two basic fittings ? male and female ends ? or more types of fittings ? and can i use 1, 1.6 compensator valve ?

thanks

Nothing stopping you having braided from the M/C to the calipers but it's EXPENSIVE! That lot was about £200 and that's for a single front/back like as it runs through a bias valve and splits to the rear by the beam.

To get the lengths I got a reel of cheap tubing (like the stuff for waser jets) and ran them to the calipers to work out what I needed.

TBH, you'd do best to just replace the copper pipe with new copper pipe and get braded hose replacements for the flexi hoses.

For the fixes, you basically have male and female throughout and with the stuff I got from Merlin one end pretty much always has a swivel join on it so it's easy to fit :D
