mickie 3 Posted October 2, 2006 two shop keepers now have told me i cant have braided pipe from the m/c to the back calipers :S how much did that all set you back Jonmurgie ? and did you have to measure all your old pipes before giving merlin a ring ? if it doesnt cost a bomb to change the lot i may just do that.. most the old fittings are all rusted in so i cant look so see whats female/male or anything :| Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Jonmurgie 2 Posted October 2, 2006 Nothing stopping you having braided from the M/C to the calipers but it's EXPENSIVE! That lot was about £200 and that's for a single front/back like as it runs through a bias valve and splits to the rear by the beam. To get the lengths I got a reel of cheap tubing (like the stuff for waser jets) and ran them to the calipers to work out what I needed. TBH, you'd do best to just replace the copper pipe with new copper pipe and get braded hose replacements for the flexi hoses. For the fixes, you basically have male and female throughout and with the stuff I got from Merlin one end pretty much always has a swivel join on it so it's easy to fit Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
