Sy_ 0 Posted September 30, 2006 Hi All, I've heard a rumour which I'd appreciate some opinion on from the 205Gods here! A guy I know's selling a car which has exactly the same sounding spec as a 1FM (Clarion stereo/shelf, air con, abs etc....) but without any 1FM branding or plaque. Apparently 5 cars were made at the same time as the official 25 with all the same toys, but just released as GTis with other options. Given the whole Gentry/autoGTi/T16 fake photo things that are the result of dodgy French production lines and stock control I can see how this could've easily happened (maybe a 1FM prototype run?!), but then usually this sort of thing sounds like a of balls.... but then the cars's black and on a K plate, so that ties up...... From what ive found out there was a specific build instruction for the 1fm model when it left the production line. Ive been assured that only the 25 had these specific build orders. the 6 speaker clarion with stealth shelf was one of them. however it may be that yourve had the cd changer and clarion from a broken 1fm. my shelf for instance it there and intact but the sterio is not . where abouts is your cd changer mounted? also mines turned up with silver wheels and not goodood style ones. also as far as im told 3 1fms have turned up with no brass plaques, but still varified by vin number and/or reg number as a 1fm. these show no signs of a plaque being fitted either. i may be able to help a little more if you can supply pics/vin/reg ect, by pm obviously, if not i got most of my info from 3 other owners who may pm you themselves. It may turn out to be a 1fm minus the badges... theres aparently 1 or 2 unknown vins/plates, but easyly varifiable cars if found Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
