mbayley77 0 Posted September 29, 2006 I am trying to put PAS onto my gti6 lump in my 205. I believe I have evrything i need for the actual PAS side of things but i cant seem to work out what belt / tensioners etc i need in order to get the drive. I guess the gti6 had air con and hence the larger tensioner at the bottom of the engine which i can no longer use. Anyone done this and have any pics or something? I dont mind fabricating brackets or whatever. Cheers And pics most welcome
jonnie205 1 Posted September 29, 2006 You will need a rallye setup. They had pas but no ac. Best to strip the bits from a crashed rallye. The mounting on the engine is all the same you will just need to get a rallye tensioner and belt and then mount the pump. A 306 reservoir works well and you can also you use the 306 high pressure line with and adaptor pipe to the 205 rack
mbayley77 0 Posted September 29, 2006 I tried the 306 pipes into the 309 racki have and that goes fine i dont understand the problem with the threads i have read about??? I have a 306 diesel turbo set up also...could i use this to fit the system or still go for the rallye tensioner which i can imagine is gonna be a complete pain in the back side to find! merry hunting i guess. Adam B 0 Posted September 29, 2006 Kind of true - some rallyes had aircon as an option. Anyway good luck finding one! Might be worth your while chucking on a new PAS ram if the car you get it from has done more than about 60k. The seals on them are going left, right and centre at the moment it seems - one the GTi-6 / Rallye bugbears. The 306 GTi6 forum might be a good place to start your search http://www.306gti6.com/ If you want pictures of the rallye setup PM me.

boombang 2 Posted October 2, 2006 If you really struggle, I have an electric PAS pump spare from a 106 Gti. Very compact and nice amount of assistance
