boldy205 75 Posted September 28, 2006 (edited) i need a 309 gti stub axle and have wondered if one from a 1.9 205 gti may fit? i realise the 309 has more track, but where does this come from? thanks, Matt Edited September 28, 2006 by boldy205

Sandy 191 Posted September 28, 2006 Yes, just put a gash nut on to protect the thread and use a soft metal hammer.
welshpug 1,657 Posted September 28, 2006 at the bash out/in bit PMSL!!! when I got mine done they stuck 50 tonnes on them and they didnt budge! so they drilled down them and pressed the remains out, then pressed the new ones in with 15 tonnes. or did you mean the stub pin fot the rear hub? boldy205 75 Posted September 29, 2006 i think its what i would call the stub axle, as in the stub the big hub nut screws onto! just so long as the 1.9 205 stub axle will be compatable with the 309 gti trailing arm. which according to kev G it will. chears for the help guys!
