Am I right in saying that the left hand end of pipe 6 goes to one inlet on my catch tank and the left hand end of pipe 7 to the second inlet?

 

Thus, one end of the filler cap gets blocked off.

No, not like that, you want to leave the pipes running to the oil filler cap...

 

You want to take the hose from the filler cap to the inlet pipe and plumb that to the catch tank (the right hand side as it were) and then the pipe coming off the rocker cover should aslo be plumbed into your catch tank (the end that is down near the sump).

 

That should sort you out

Wont you lose alot of oil that way, as its not being recirclulated out of the rocker cover.
