pacey205 2 Posted September 25, 2006 Having finally got round to fitting this to see whether I like it or not I realised that there is no stub to cancel the indicators on the wheel boss. Should there be one from momo or is it possible to use the one off the original steering wheel (which looks as though it may fit). Having never used an aftermarket wheel before Im not sure whether there is a Momo part to do this or whether it is just a case of swapping the original plastic tab to cancel the indicators. tom_m 0 Posted September 25, 2006 my momo hub came with a stub to cancel the indicators, it was little and placstic and circliped to the end
Jonmurgie 2 Posted September 25, 2006 There are a few different styles of bosses for the 205 as I've just removed on that had a metal tab cast into the main boss and the one I just put on has a plastic tab circliped on the end So, sounds like your missing that little plastic tab then... though I doubt your supopsed to use (if it even fits!) the one from the OEM wheel?! jackherer 543 Posted September 25, 2006 the instructions for one make of boss (I dont remember which now) do say to use the OEM indicator ring. Mountney perhaps?
pacey205 2 Posted September 25, 2006 (edited) Well the boss sits further up than the OE wheel but the end that actually mates with the splines *looks* about the same size hence why I thought the OE one might work seeing as its just circlipped on. The actual boss itself has a little cutout that on the main body of the boss but it is to far away from the cancelling unit to do anything unless something fits in there. Ill see if I can nip the wheel off and take some pictures as trying to explain it is difficult. EDIT Just been and whipped the steering wheel off (in the dark ) to compare them and they are identical where the wheel meets the column, hence Ive just swapped over the OE plastic clip and now have cencelling indicators. Hooray. Michael Edited September 25, 2006 by pacey205
