johno_78 2 Posted September 24, 2006 i'm thinking of buying a 406 turbo and running it for a while until i do the obvious conversion into the 205. what other bits could i transplant to the 205, ie brakes, hubs etc?
welshpug 1,657 Posted September 24, 2006 no need to use the hubs as the original driveshafts will fit the gearbox. brakes use a different offset to the 1.9 hubs but a GTi6 or similar will suffice.
johno_78 2 Posted September 24, 2006 it is currently on 1.6 hubs, so they need changing anyway. i thought it may save a bit of cash if i could use the 406 ones.
sonofsam 5 Posted September 24, 2006 Dont think you can swap anything really-apart from the engine of course:D
johno_78 2 Posted September 24, 2006 that's a shame, i think i'll have a look into the citroen turbo's then as they seem to fetch less money and have been driven less enthusiastically.
inferno 1 Posted September 24, 2006 id say the citroen turbos have probably been driven harder given the superior handling over the 406 keep hold of the gearbox if its manual... i think they fit the v6:P
